Q: Who is Absolute Volleyball Club?
A: Our directors are Amy Nichols and Paul Nichols. Amy is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America as both a Group Exercise Instructor and an Aerobics Instructor. Both Amy and Paul are CAP I certified coaches with AVC as well.
Q: What are our core values?
A: We view volleyball as a way to help young girls understand the importance of teamwork, hard work, loyalty and determination. We stress solid fundamentals and repetition. Winning always follows a good foundation.
Q: Where will we practice?
A: Net Results - Plano
Q: Where will we play and how often?
A: We will play 8-10 tournaments in 2011/2012. The season will begin in December and complete in April/June. Travel committments are different for each team.
Q: Will playing time be equal?
A: Our Coaching Staff will determine the playing time of each individual based on skill level, effort, team requirements and team size. No team member will be guaranteed playing time.
Q: Will there be clinics?
A: Yes. Our Coaching Staff has several clinics throughout the year for area youth. There will be a nominal fee associated with the clinics and the team members will be expected to represent the club at the clinics whenever possible.
Q: What about sponsors?
A: We are always looking for ways to keep the club costs at a reasonable level. This includes asking businesses and individuals within our community for support. Various levels of donation will receive varying levels of acknowledgment and co-marketing.
