Marlene has 10 years of experience coaching club teams in the North Texas area.  She has also been the head coach of the JV team at John Paul II High School in Plano. 

A 4 year varsity player, captain, and 2 year All-League at Paramount High School in California, Marlene went on to play 2 years of volleyball at Cerritos College.  During her college career, she was ranked 3rd in Service Aces in the South Coast Conference.  

Marlene coached the 13U Red team to a top ten finish in 2011. 

Erin McClanahan

Erin McClanahan is currently the JV Red coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Lovejoy High School.

Prior to joining the staff at Lovejoy, erin spent four years at Stephen F. Austin State University as an assistant coach with the Ladyjack volleyball team.

Erin is a former Division One athlete, completing a successful collegiate playing career at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Saint Louis University. 

The St. Louis native spent three years as a coach with the Team Saint Louis club, twice helping guide the squad to the national tournament, and helped start Team Unity, a club in Nacogdoches. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saint Louis University in May 2006, and her Master's of Public Administration from SFA in December 2008.  

Laura Cramer

Laura played four years at Stephen F Austin.  As a Senior Team Captain she led her team to a 31-4 record with 365 kills and a 3rd conference championship.

Lori Caprio

Specialist

Lori was captain of the 5A State Championship Duncanville highshool volleyball team in 1995. She played college volleyball on scholarship at Texas Wesleyan from 1996-1998 before transferring to Texas A&M.  She took her club team to Nationals from 1998-2000 while at A&M.

Lori started playing sand volleyball in 2001.  Her team went undefeated in the Coed A division at The 2003 Motherlode Classic in Aspen and placed in the top 10 in the women's division in 2003 and 2004.

Lori coached club volleyball with Skyline Juniors for 3 years as well.

Joe Fernandez

Coach

Joe played competitive volleyball for 20 years and has coached for 10 years – two years in a Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), five years in the PSA rec league and three years as the head coach for the Defenders Volleyball Club. 

Joe started the DefendersVBC in 2008 and served as the director and head coach.  During this time, he led his 12s team to a 3^rd place finish in the region and earned a bid to the Junior Olympics. 

His 13s team finished 9^th in the region and his 14s finished 18^th.  Joe is Impact and Cap1 certified.  He is married to Gloriane, has two daughters, Gabby and Delilah and one granddaughter, Kaylynn

Megan Robinson

Taught volleyball for girls 9-12 years old. Managed a

group of ten by myself which led to teaching volleyball private lessons to two girls and multiple babysitting jobs.

Amy Puente

Amy Puente grew up in San Antonio where she started playing volleyball at the age of 10. She played varsity for Robert E. Lee and played with San Antonio's Texas Jrs. club team.

While attending Texas A&M Universtiy she coached club volleyball for 2 years.

After college she went to teach and coach varsity volleyball for a TAPPS 3-A school for 2 years in Tyler. Amy then went to teach and coach at Berkner High School in Richardson as the Varsity Assistant and JV volleyball coach.  Amy is currently teaching at Sloan Creek Middle School in the Lovejoy ISD, and coaching the JV Black team. 

Rodney Caprio

This is Rodney's third year coaching Club with Absolute Volleyball. Rodney has been playing doubles volleyball since 1990 and USAV since 1995. Rodney's team won the A division 4s in Spike It Up in consecutive years.

Rodney is considered to be one of the better finesse players in the men's division.  His srengths include seeing the weak spots and exploiting an opponent's lack of execution.

Brenda has been coaching middle school volleyball in Texas for 5 years. She is currently the 8th grade coach in Lovejoy ISD.

Brenda started coaching volleyball in McKinney where her teams consistently finished first or second in the district tournaments. She continues her winning ways at Sloan Creek Middle School where two of her three teams went undefeated in district play in 2010/2011.
